EL NICIO MINE (ESTEPONA)
Nodules and flakes of pure Graphite included in serpentinized peridotites. Deposit is located along the contact zone between Plagioclase Lherzolites– Kinzigite Gneis.
This deposit is even found in both geological materials.
Source: Metamorphic process during serpentinization in serpentinites. Where kinzigites crop out graphite sheets are often wrapping rock matrix (enveloping garnet, mica and quartz-feldspar matrix).
